My mirror got broken off by interesting circumstances and i need to put a new one on. Anyone have any experience in this field? Any help would be great and if anyone knows a good mechanic in the South Bay socal area that’d be great too. Thanks!

I know that I can drill holes and then slip those little sheaths in there, but I don’t know if they’re reliable enough.
I’ve seen mirrors affixed to the wall with some kind of silicone/epoxy, but it looks like it eats through the back of the mirror eventually.
What about mortar? Can I mortar a mirror to the wall. (I know it’s pretty permanent, but I think it’s ok.)

I have my grandmothers old old old old old mirror. I really love old mirrors so I don’t mind that the frame has been cracked and repaired a couple times but now I have a problem, the mirror is loose from the frame. It might have always been like that(someone, genius I’m sure, bent small nails to try to steady it) but I’m not sure of the original condition. Now it has about a 1/4in between the mirror and the frame in the direction it’s not resting on. I like to restain/reapolster things like that, but I’ve never fixed a mirror before and being that it’s my grandmothers I don’t want to fuck it up. Any suggestions?

I’m wondering what it would take to generate electricity with solar power but rather than use panels, I want to use mirrors to boil water and turn a turbine. Say I wanted to turn a typical car alternator/generator with steam. I set up mirrors that shoot light into a collector, boil the water, spin turbine, turn generator. This seems possible and simple in concept. What kind of mirror footprint would I need. Would the whole yard be filled with 3×3 mirrors with a 10′ tower? Thoughts?
Where do I get a turbine?

I have the new mirror, but I want to install it myself, does anybody know how to do this, or of a repair guide that would explain how to replace the mirror?

I have a 1997 black Maxima with a damaged side mirror. I was looking at eBay and found a set of mirrors with LED lights that flash when you signal for a turn (like that of the Benz). My concern is installing them. Since the stock mirrors don’t have flashing lights, how am I supposed to wire the mirrors to be able to get a message from the car when it is signaling?

I am working on a remodel of kids/guest bathroom. I have one long vanity cabinet with double rectangle sinks. I took down the long single mirror with track lighting and would like to go to two single mirrors above the vanities with some type of lighting. What shape of mirrors will look best and what type of lighting will look good and be functional?
